We’re hiring ‘Care and Support Workers’

Are you passionate about helping people with different abilities live a full and joyful life?

We are recruiting Care and Support Workers to join a community in North Cambridge.

What we offer:

  • We offer you person-centred training, so you will be able to get to know the person you will be supporting and how you can support them in the best way.

  • We offer you the opportunity to gain recognised qualifications (e.g. Care Certificate), and to engage in your own continuing development.

  • We offer you the opportunity to enjoy all their social and leisure activities together with them. The people we support have a wonderful sense of fun and laughter, and we would love for you to get to know them.

Creating communities of all abilities centred around our core values

Clear objectives shape the services we provide.

We have several clear objectives in terms of personalised care and support that shape the services we provide.

  • To provide compassionate personalised care and support that fully meets the person's needs and preferences. To always help the person develop their abilities, interests and hopes for the future.
  • To encourage the active involvement of families and friends and other services and support networks, to help the person live as full a life as possible.
  • To build the skills and expertise of our workforce to ensure staff feel valued, to support their career development, and to help them see that their skills make a difference to the lives of the people we support.
  • To be an organisation that innovates, and works in partnership with multiple organisations.
  • To build community around the people we support. To encourage the person to become involved and play a full and active part in their local community; also as a way of sharing their gifts and abilities with the local community and building friendships there.

The management team of Mannawell actively nurtures very good relationships with external health and social care professionals. These relationships are key when it comes to working as a team in caring for people with complex needs to explore their potential, and in ensuring our staff are trained in accordance with industry best practice.
