Home is where the heart is.

Mannawell is a UK registered non-profit organisation set up by two siblings motivated by the strong desire to provide the most loving and high-quality care and support for their elder brother, a much loved young man with profound physical and multiple learning disabilities.

The desire of Mannawell is to allow people with learning disabilities to continue to learn, develop and explore their gifts and abilities, and to support their families in providing hope and a fulfilling future for them.

Many ageing parents still have their adult children with disabilities living with them at home, with great uncertainty and anxiety about their future. In the UK at present, 29,000 adults with a learning disability are living with parents aged 70 or more, many of whom are becoming too frail to manage their care. Mannawell supports such individuals and their families by helping to provide a hope and a future for their loved ones.

We’re hiring ‘Care and Support Workers’

Are you passionate about helping people with different abilities live a full and joyful life?

We are recruiting Care and Support Workers to join a community in North Cambridge.

What we offer:

  • We offer you person-centred training, so you will be able to get to know the person you will be supporting and how you can support them in the best way.

  • We offer you the opportunity to gain recognised qualifications (e.g. Care Certificate), and to engage in your own continuing development.

  • We offer you the opportunity to enjoy all their social and leisure activities together with them. The people we support have a wonderful sense of fun and laughter, and we would love for you to get to know them.
